Below is a presentation of funding opportunities from different actors that may be suitable for collaborative projects and mobility between Sweden and Korea

EUROSTARS
Eurostars is primarily aimed at innovative small and medium-sized companies that are part of international project. It is possible to apply for funding for the development of market-oriented processes, products and services. Through international cooperation, Eurostars provides access to new knowledge, collaborations and opportunities to test new markets. Call opens by Jan 10 2025.

Vinnova call for International Staff Exchange in Emerging Technologies 2024

Through this programme, Vinnova wants to increase strategic competence in Sweden through international individual mobility for 4 weeks to maximum 6 months. The programme is open for applicants from individuals in Swedish organizations, to visit Korea, among other countries.

STINT International Postdoc

The aim of the programme is to enhance the quality of Swedish research and higher education by giving researchers who have recently obtained their PhDs the opportunity to pursue a postdoctoral research project at an institution abroad. Participating postdocs are thus offered the chance to experience new academic environments, become more independent and extend their international networks.

There are two versions of the programme:

  • STINT International Postdoc for outbound postdocs

  • STINT International Postdoc in Sweden for inbound postdocs

Korea-Sweden Cooperation Program (STINT)

Support S&T research exchanges between Korean and Swedish research groups (professor-level researchers, post-doctoral researchers, graduate students) to stimulate cooperation in S&T and secure a foundation for future collaboration Universities, university colleges and research institutes can be granted funding with up to 100 percent of their eligible costs.

Funding of KRW 30 million (SEK 237K*) annually for 3 years

Brain Pool Fellowship Program

Funded by MSIT (Ministry of Science and ICT) and NRF, host researchers in South Korea who wish to invite outstanding scientists to join the Brain Pool(BP) Program.

The program is designed to invite overseas outstanding scientists to domestic research institutions in Korea, required by domestic industry, academia, and research sites, for the enhancement of research competence through joint research in R&D fields in Korea, in which he or she produces high level of R&D performance and to contribute to the internationalization of the domestic research environment,
